Dartmoor is an amazing place, not just for its sceneery but for its rich and varied history that stretches back into the mists of time.
For anyone thinking of visiting and who are at all interested in its history then before you go be sure to look at the Legendary Dartmoor website. This is a wonderful site that gives a wealth of information on all aspects of Dartmoor, including pictures and map references. We really can't recommend this highly enough - just wish that there were more like it.
